The University Curriculum Committee
& the Office of Academic Affairs 2006 General Education Rigor Survey Project ResultsThis site presents the results of the GE Rigor Survey project conducted in the spring and fall of 2006 by the UCC and the Provost's office. The project involved surveying over 300 classes to assess student perceptions of academic rigor and related elements of GE courses. The Executive Summary provides an overview of the major results of the project. Campus statistics are available for examination by GE Area and level. Faculty who participated in the survey project may use their Login ID and password to access data for their specific courses and compare those results to the mean scores of the campus and GE Areas. This feature will allow faculty members to assess their own expectations and practices in light of the standards set by their colleagues. We hope that the data will provide an opportunity for reflection and conversation. |
